A Partner of the Maison

Henry Ashford-Vane

Partner, Private Travel & Voyages

Henry Ashford-Vane attends to the Maison's travel office. He was raised in Hampshire, in a family whose involvement in private aviation extends to a third generation, and was educated at Eton and at Trinity College, Oxford. He came to the Maison in 2017, after a decade at NetJets Europe and a further period as the private flight director for a Gulf principal — a position he held for five years and which he speaks of, when at all, only in the past tense.

He keeps a small house in Hampshire and a flat near Sloane Square, and crosses between the two on a schedule that follows the work rather than the calendar. He holds a private pilot's licence and is a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron at Cowes.

He is a careful collector of pre-war motorcars and of editions of Patrick Leigh Fermor. He has been known to lend the latter to members travelling in Greece, on the understanding that they will be returned by the end of the season.
